For example, while I seldom see the Bescods do well, I've seen the Gleens all over from dead last to my recent score of 216 points against hard AI. These variables live at the very heart of the game and can massively impact which races are effective or not. Given that I am level 4 in a tech track, and would like to grab the advanced tech tile, and move up to level 5. The tier list in question is data-driven but quite superficial - it takes into account popular and/or obvious strategies that may disproportionately affect the human outcomes of the factions, but it also fails to take into account (as far as I can tell) the variation in faction performance based on end-game bonuses, round bonus tiles, round scoring tiles and positions, standard tech tile positions, and advanced tech tile positions and availability.
